Lantra Awards is a National Awarding and Accrediting Body which operates predominantly in the Land-based and Environmental Sectors. Their aim is to provide an innovative and responsive qualifications and awarding service, building on more than 30 years of experience in the provision of training and assessment.
With around 40,000 learners a year attending their courses and attaining their qualifications, Lantra Awards also offers a range of products to the land-based and environmental sector as well as related industries such as highways and construction. We are also partners with NPTC, who are part of the City & Guilds group. They remain a separate company with charitable status within the City & Guilds group but the merger has brought together all of the weight of the City & Guilds brand to back the established recognition and standing of NPTC within the land-based industries. NPORS (The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme)
Since NPORS was formed in 1992, they have accredited over 1000 instructors and training providers who operate on national and international projects. During this time they have worked hard to ensure that appropriate training and assessments are being delivered to employers in the Construction, Utilities, Distribution and Warehousing, Ports and Marine, Rail and Agricultural Sectors. NPORS have currently registered over 160,000 operators who have been employed across all UK industry sectors.
The Health and Safety Executive recognise NPORS as competent to accredit and monitor organisations to train instructors and/or to train, test and certificate operators, please

ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme And Register)
