Trusts Join Forces to Benefit Local Youths
At Kingston Lacy on Friday 9 October, 2.00pm, the 12 young graduates will be presented with their certificates. Two charities have joined forces with two local training providers to help a dozen young people in Dorset overcome their struggle to find work. The National Trust at Kingston Lacy and the Prince’s Trust are working with Newlands Training from Dorchester and Whitehorse Leadership from Weymouth in a three week programme which ends this Friday, when the students graduate. Dorset-based Newlands Training Ltd, in conjunction with LANTRA (the Sector Skills Council for the environmental and land-based sector) is offering funded training for women working in the agricultural and land-based environment, through its Women & Work Programme.
